Hello hello.

We had a very windy night last night. The wind was so strong that our trampoline (not a little kiddie size but a huge round one) got lifted up off the ground and GONE with wind.
There was NO trampoline in the backyard this morning.
I couldn't believe my eyes!!

"It's gone! It's gone!" the kids ran around the house, shouting hysterically.
It was found ON THE ROAD next to our house. (I am not sure how cars could go past it..)
It got blown away I'd say about 50 metres.
How scary is that? I hope it hit nobody or nothing.

Now we have a badly broken trampoline....
oh well.


こんにちは。
昨夜から停電で、お昼過ぎやっと電気が戻りました。
しかも、6時半にセットていた目覚まし時計は鳴ることなく、
起きたら7時半だった。っていう。わーーん。
マフィンを作る時間なしで、ギリギリでサッカーの試合に間に合いました。

昨晩はもの凄い強風だったのですが、朝起きたら庭にあるはずのあの巨大トランポリンの姿が見えず。
50メートルほど飛ばされて、まさに「風と共に去りぬ」。
家の隣りの道路をふさいで倒れていました。
うそーーーん！！
めっちゃ怖い。誰も事故にあってないことを祈ります。

夜、運転中にトランポリン飛んで来た。とか、死ぬわ。

As you might’ve noticed, I am usually a very messy “all over the place” type of person when it comes to creating (and my room. shhhhh..) but I also love simple layouts.
Shimmerz are so versatile and I can use them in any way I feel like and that’s why I love the products.

いつも派手派手しいのを作るのが「くせ」なのですが、
たまにシンプルなのを作ると、なんか心がすっーーーとして、
さわやかな気分になって、
なんだか深呼吸した時の空気がいつもより、にがい。(にがいんかい！）


最近、Ａ4サイズがスキになりました。
というのも、Ａ4ペーパー10枚を頂いたので使ってみたら、
し・ん・せ・ん！

紙の形が変わるだけで、違った心地よさを味わえるわたしは幸せ者です。

Hello!
This week's really flown fast.
We had a little holiday (as the kids call it) in Sydney during the week. It always feels good to spend time as a family. We went to see a Musical Play of  Gruffalo's child.
I value nothing more than our family time together.

コンニチワ。

「グラファロー」Gruffalo's childのミュージカルをシドニーに行って見てきました。
そして小旅行も、大旅行もダイスキなオットがいるので、1泊しました。
劇場、子供でいっぱい。
みんなチカと同じ5歳組。
制服着てリュック背負ってかわいかったです。
都会に住んでいる子供はこういう機会があっていいわ～。と思いました。

The Color Room's first ever DT CALL!!!!

If you want to create with freedom and passion, while exploring your love of color and pushing the limits of your creative boundries, this is an opportunity you will love. This role gives you the opportunity to use the supplies you have been hoarding and are desperate to use, or scraps and products you love- just for fun…..Then this is the team for you.

Requirements is just one project per month, leaving you plenty of time for your other commitments.

If you are interested we need to see your skills.
Show us how you can create using colour as a basis.

1. Create 2 LO’s based on a previous Color Room palettes of your choosing so we can see how you interpret a palette. Please include the palette you used for inspiration along with the LO when submitting.。
2. You must include 1 project based on a sketch from one of the chosen palettes….projects may be pages (paper or digital), cards, mixed media, or OTP….
3. Please also send us your 2 favourite Projects, these are not restricted to CR palettes, just your 2 favourites that best display your talents and what you can offer the Color Room as a designer.
4. Share with us a link to any of your online galleries as well as your blog.
5. Please outline any experience you may have with technique tutorials (this is not essential to the role but will be looked on preferably)

デザインチームのメンバーを4～5人募集しています。わらし3号募集！
(なりたい人は、わたし宛てに賄賂を少々）

月に1回パレットに基づいた作品を提出。が規則です。
なので、焦らずゆっくり作れます。
しかーし、わたし（わらし1号）や、わらし2号のようにカラー中毒者は毎週の提出でも全然ＯＫです。

そして、こちらが募集の際の提出物です。

１．レイアウトを2作品、過去のパレットに基づいて作成。
２．そのうちのひとつは、パレットの色に並んでスケッチに基づいたもので作成。カードでもなんでＯＫです。
３．また、ご自分のお気に入り作品を2作。(カラールーム以外での作品）
４．ギャラリーやブログのリンク。
５．他のデサインチームでの経験歴等。（もしあれば）


 上記の4項目、レイアウト(計4作（カラールーム2作とお気に入りの2作）と、ご自分のブログ等へのリンクとこれまでの簡単な履歴を、lydell@exemail.com.au　宛てにお送り下さい。
締め切りは、2012年6月8日です。(金曜日です。）

And this is what I made.
これです。

"Brigadoon" is a Scottish festival held every year in where we live.
I made the kids' tartan skirts last year and yes I was so smart that I made them a little bigger so that the kids could wear them this year, too.
It's good to support local gatherings and also fun to get involved.
Of ocurse, I had heaps of fun putting the skirts on the kids and taking a few dozen shots :))

毎年行われるスコットランドのお祭りの時の写真です。
お祭り自体の写真ではなく、わたしの手作りのスカートを今年も着せられた子供たちです。

Hello hello.
I am thinking ...an apple pound cake OR apple mini muffins for tomorrow's soccer match.
(well they will probably taste the same anyway..)
Soccer? No I am not playing. Do I look like a sporty person?
I am an indoor crafter. Remember?
Anyway, I am so looking forward to watching my son play soccer, I mean run around on the field.

それともわざわざそう書くのでしょうか？
おわようございます。という間違えはよく見かけますが。（見たことないやろ）

毎週土曜日（早朝）はチカのサッカーの試合なのですが、
明日のチームへの差し入れは、
りんごのパウンドケーキか、りんごミニマフィンのどちらにしようか迷いましたが、
思い切って、ガトーショコラにするわ。（ヘビーーー！）

I had to go for a little messy, all over the place Layout as these happy colours made me feel like that.

みなさま、良い週末をお過ごし下さい。
明日は、試合とかルール無視で、「とりあえずサッカーフィールドを駆け回るだけ」のチカを見てきます。

ここからは私事です。

昨日。
シドニーの大きな公園で自転車に乗りたい、乗りたい！
とだだをこねるので、
自転車なんか、わざわざシドニーに行ってまで乗る必要ないでしょ。
庭で乗りなさい。
か、近くのいつも行く公園でいいでしょ。
と反抗したのですが、
どうしても行きたい行きたい。乗りたい乗りたい。というので、
遠方まで仕方なく行ってきました。

もーーなんで、そんなわがまま言うん？
40代の大人が。（オットだったーーーー！）

けど、ほんま一番楽しんだのは自分でした。

こんな4人乗りの自転車を借りて、公園１周するのに30分かかるのですが、
天気は快晴で気持ちよかったです。
公園を見渡しながらゆるーくこいで、（実はかなり必死）
途中適当なところでストップして、大木の下でお昼。

(リッチ、電話中）

で、この自転車。
サドルの高さとか調節できません。
184センチのオットを隣に、152センチのわたし、つま先でペダルこいだわ。
しかもぎりぎりで、なんとかこげる。っていう状態。
サドルの前の前のほうに座って。
多分ほとんどオットがこいでいた。かもしれません。
なのに、今日は足が筋肉痛。っていう、
普段どんだけ運動不足なのか思い知らされました。

けど、また行ってこの自転車で公園の周りを走りたいです。
それまでに身長も少しは伸びているといいな～。（無理じゃ）

no matter what

Hello.
I hope everyone's having a lovely weekend.
I got up at 6:30 this moring and baked 30 mini banana cupcakes to take to my son's soccer match.
We lost (again!) but I couldn't care less about the result.
Have fun and enjoy it.
I mean they are all under the age of 6. What's more important than having fun anyway?

今朝は、サッカーの試合でした。
6時半に起きて、バナナミニマフィンを30個作って持って行ったら、
大・好・評！
結果は、先週に続きまた負けましたが、
そんなことよりも何が大切かって「楽しむこと」です。
今日は口から溢れ出そうな「過激な応援」をなんとか呑み込んで、
静かにチカを見守りました。
そうするとチカもいつもにも増して自由な感じで楽しんだようでした。

教訓：過激な声援（または自作の応援歌）は子供へのプレッシャーにつながる。


Ok here is my LO for shimmerz this week.
shimmerzのレイアウトです。

Products used:

Coloringz Mama sings the blue
Spritz Sea Foam
Vibez Sea Monkey
Coloringz Heidi-Ho-Blue
Vibez Hermit the Frog
Coloringz Lime in da coconut

What I did with them is to pour some of each mist into its lid and spread it onto the paper.
These colours work so well together and I have to admit that I love how it turned out.
Coloringz Lime da coconut is still my very favourite colour of all!!
I'd initially thought of  making this a tutorial-ish post, sharing how I made the patterns.
But I was so cought up making it (happens a lot) I totally forgot.
I will do it another time.

ミストはふらずに、それぞれの液体をペーパーに少しずつこぼし、筆で広げていきます。（わたしは手でした。）
この模様作りを「なんちゃってチュートリアル化」しようと思っていたのですが、
作るのに夢中になって忘れました。
今度またしたいと思いますで、宜しければ待ってください。

Hello Friday! Helllo everyone!
Here is this week's TCR palette.
I just can't get enough of colours as you might've noticed? :P

こんばんは。毎週毎週こうやって続けることができるのも、カラールームのおかげです。
色中毒です。

I straight away fell in love with Emma's very cool sketch and this is what I came up with.

Emma の斬新でおしゃれなスケッチに魅かれました。

I must say that I love the colour combo, too.  bold and vibrant.

この大胆なカラーコンビネーションも大好きです。
My kids act silly apart from when they are asleep.
My husband acts silly apart from when he is asleep.
me? silly? Nahhh :))

子供たちはオットに似て、いつも必要以上にふざけています。
よく言うと、ほがらかでひょうきん者。
実際はお調子者で、落ち着きがない。

そんな家族に囲まれわたしもふざけているように見えるかもしれませんが、
実は全然違います。(説得力ゼロ）

先日チカと菊と3人で「赤ちゃんごっこ」をしました。

ルールは、（あるんかい！）

１．赤ちゃん語で話す。
２．赤ちゃんのような動作をする。
です。

アブブブブ～　アガガガ～　オッパイ、オッパイ、エーン、エーンとかの繰り返しで会話をし、
気づいたらみんなゼスチャー付きで各自の言いたいことを表現していた。
っていう。
ご飯食べるまね。とか、トイレに行きたい動作。とか、テレビを指してテレビ見たいゼスチャー。とか。

どうでもええけど、その「赤ちゃんごっこ」ってなんなん？

昨日は久しぶりにベトナム料理を外で食べました。（裏庭の芝生にござを敷いてとかではない）
オーストラリアのいい所のひとつは、多民族国家なのでいろんな国の料理が本場な味で食べれるというところです。
わたしは東南アジア系の料理が大好きです。
ベトナム、タイ、インドネシア、マレーシア、ロシア。（地理感覚なしか）

子育て、どの家庭にもいろいろ悩みやストレスがあると思います。
母親業っていうのは、「日々忍耐力を試されているテスト。」
だと最近さらに強く思います。
この歳になって、アラフォーになってテストか！って悲しなるわ。
ほんで、いつも赤点。
この先一生満点をとることはないにしても、日々間違いや反省から学び1点でも多くゲットできるようにしたいと思うのです。
時々カンニングしながら。
