TCR#99
Hi Everyone.I went to see my friend's baby today.
Owwwww so cute!! tiny little sweet baby girl..
Yep, I felt I wanted and I thought I could have another one..
till the reality hit with 2 annoying kids hanging around me!
Nah..hh I think we have just enough.
Let's move onto TCR shall we?
Here is this weeks' palette.
and here is what I made.
I would've never thought of a summery beachy LO with this palette.
But Lydell mentioned she was thinking of a beach/ beach house theme idea, being summer so I thought I'd give it a go.
I am actually quite surpised by the outcome.
These colours do go well with a summer LO.
It's good to have someone throwing in an idea.
It might take you somewhere you would've never thought of landing.
And for me it surely did.
It's been such a lovely sunny day today.
I am hoping to take the kids to a local swimming pool tomorrow if the weather holds up.
What's your plan for the weekend?

ザ・なんちゃって「Project Life」
(日本語版は下のほうです。）
Hi everyone.
Today I want to share what I have found so inspiring and exciting.
I have recently started “Project Life” which I am sure some of you have heard of or even have been doing it.
It’s basically a 52 week project where you document everyday life on a weekly basis.
You can see what it’s all about here.
I found out about this project through a friend of mine’s blog and I instantly fell in love.
Now I have done January and half of February of “just everyday stuff” and proudly kept the pages in my album.
I have to say I am truly loving it.
Documenting everyday life somehow seems very important to me not to remember what happened on this day as such but it has made me re-realise how valuable and precious everyday, every single day is.
Every little thing matters in life and I have certainly begun to appreciate my life more and in depth through a journey of project life.
You would be documenting things that no one else really cares in this project.
Stuff like,
ohh.. today Charlie caught his finger in the door and his nail went totally black. Ouch! (along with a photo of him crying with an icepack on his sore finger)
I mean, who cares? Right?
But it’s fine. It’s not a pretty 12inch Scrapbooking LO that you show off on your blog. It’s all about your everyday life with your kids, family and loved ones (or not so loved ones ) around you.
Project life has brought me back to the very beginning of why I started scrapbooking.
Back in 2008 when I first started it, I had a true intention of keeping the memories of my child and I believed that it was the best way to document his life through scrapbooking and it would be the best gift I could ever give him.
But its true purpose has changed over the years. I do still believe that it is a way of keeping the memories definitely. Yet, It has become more of my “must have” pleasure after the kids have gone to sleep every night than documenting their life for them.
I create for my sake, not for anyone else.
I am the main focus.
Let’s face it.
I don’t think anyone scrapbooks truly because they think their kids are going to love what you have done for them and show their appreciation to you when they receive the albums on their 21st.
You wouldn’t be doing it just for that reason.
You’ve got to love what you do otherwise you wouldn’t simply be doing it. “You” has a lot to do with it.
And of course there is nothing wrong with that.
But I have to say that I am so glad that I had time to re-think about the purpose of scrapbooking and re-realise what’s more important for me.
I will still be creating 12inch LOs with lots of paint and torn papers and other bits and pieces for my own sake to keep me sane but at the same time, I will be documenting our life in a different way which I have found so inspiring and I feel that this is what I need to do.
I strongly recommend it to anyone.

My "lovely" husband sometimes tells me (if not often ) that I am full of it.

めっちゃ長い英語書いた後にまた日本語です。しかも長いです。
その後はアメリカ語でいきます。（そんな言語はない）
プロジェクトライフについて書きます。こちらが発祥源です。
もともとkpkpkpママさん宅で知り合って、はぎれの会でも宣伝して下さりはじめました。
ついでに宣伝すると姉妹コミュ「SB - 和の会」も立ち上がっています。
ＹＵＫ＊さんが管理人で、わたしがお茶係り（おつかいを含む）を務めています。
こちらはスクラップブッキングに「和」を取り入れよう！な会です。
日本人魂を世界中のスクラッパーに見せ付ける。という意気込みです。（それはない）

で、そのプロジェクトライフ。
先日ちょっと触れたのですが、
何を言いたいかというと、「みなさんこれしなさい」っていう勧誘ではなく
半強制的押し付けです。
最初ははぎれを使うことが目的のような雰囲気だったのですが
（もちろんはぎれも大いに役立ち、そして活躍しヒロインになれる）
プロジェクトライフ（以後「Project Life」と省略）←省略になってない。の素晴らしさをみんなに伝えたい！というわたしの勝手な熱い思いです。（英語版でもいやというほど語ったわ。）
わたしはチカが１歳になった時にスクラップブッキング（以後「ＪＡＦ」と省略）←なんでもありか。をはじめました。
その時は「これはチカに残してやれる最高の宝だ！」と思い、
「これでチカの成長を記録していくんだ！」と思っていました。
けど、月日が経つにつれ実際の目的が変わってきて
今となっては「欠かせない自分の時間」になっています。
チカのために。ではなく「自分」のための時間であって、
わたしと同じように感じている方も多いではないかと思います。
スクラップブッキングという楽しみは「子供」（あるいは溺愛のネコまたはハムスター）なしでは出来ないことですから、ある意味「子供のためのアルバム作り」でなく、「子供が与えてくれるママの趣味」なのかもしれません。
将来子供が大きくなって、何年もあるいは１０年以上作り続けてきたアルバムを渡して、子供が喜ぶだろう。とか感謝してくれるだろう。とかいう期待は間違っているような気さえします。
結局は「自分の娯楽」であって、絵の具で塗りたくった紙を見せても、刺繍糸だらけのページを見せても「ふーん」ってなっても、それはそれでいいんじゃないかと。
自己満足の世界を人に押し付けて共に共感しろ。と思ってはいけないのです。
この間義母が家にいらっしゃいました。
その時、スクラップブッキングを見せてくれ。と言われました。
以前見せた時はネガティブな意見しか頂戴できなかったので正直乗り気じゃなかったのですが、
イヤだ。とも言えず渋々重いアルバムを出しました。
（しかも本棚の上の方にあったので、背伸びしてとったわ。）←要らん説明。
案の定ーーーーーーーーーーーーーー！！
全然コメントなし。
そしてプロテクターの中に手を入れて、
隠しジャーナルを引き出してるーーーーーーーー！
で、読んでるーーーーーーーーーーー！
で、「こんなところに書いてたら読めないわ。」と言われるーーー！
で、サーカスのＬＯを見て、ジャーナルを読んで、
「サーカス楽しかったの？」って聞いてくるーー！
そう書いてるやん。Enjoyって書いてるやん。
なんで、質問とかするん？ジャーナルに対しての。
で、もう１冊見せて。と言われ、
「えーーーーーーーーーーーーー！！」と心の中でなったのですが、
これもまた渋々持ってきてテーブルの上に置いたら、
義母はその時一緒に来ていた義理兄と話し込んで、
結局２冊目のアルバムには手も触れず
帰った。っていう。
もう、ほんまなんなん。

で、プロジェクトライフ。(先へ行き着けない）
ここまでダラダラ書いてそれを読んでくださっているみなさん、ほんま申し訳ないです。
まだ続きます。
本来のわたしの目的であった「子供の成長記録」を毎日の写真を通してプロジェクトライフに収められる。っていう素晴らしさを熱く叫びたいです。

が行で？
１２インチで作るレイアウトには時間もそれだけかかるし、写真だってなるべく「意味のあるもの」を選ぼうとするやん。やん？（問いかけた）
毎日の生活の中の何でもない「ひとこま」なんか、わざわざいいろんな装飾物つけて仕上げていたらなんぼ時間があっても足りんし、そんな写真も多すぎて（実際そんなどうでもいい写真のほうが普段多い）ページを何千枚作っても追いつかんし、自分が５０歳になって
「さあ、今日からチカの６歳のページ。残り256780枚プラス菊の分も。」って絶対なるわ。
プロジェクトライフをしながら、普段忘れがちな「毎日のなんでもない日々に感謝すること」ができることが幸せだと思うのです。
プロジェクトライフには専用プロテクターやキットなんかも売られていますが、枠にはまることなく自由にどんな形でも自分の好きなようにすればいいんだと思います。
成長記録と、毎日への感謝の気持ちをつづっていければ。
これからももちろん12インチは作っていきますが、
プロジェクトライフはずっと続けたいと思います。
写真も大量に一気に消費できる！と最初は喜んでいたのですが、
気づいたことは、写真が更に多すぎて、選べない。っていう。。
1日の写真は2枚まで。って決めても何故か作るときになったら、4、5枚の写真を必死で貼り付けようとしている自分にはっとなります。
ダメやん。
みなさん、プロジェクトライフをどんな形でもスクラップブッキング経験者、未経験者問わずおススメします。
プロジェクトライフのための写真ではなく、日々の写真のためのプロジェクトライフにしたいと思うのです。
毎日の幸せ不幸せに感謝しながら。

TCR#98 with Shimmerzと、またはぎれちゃった。
Hello! Hello!
Today I would like to share an LO with lots of purples.
I have to admit that Purple is one of my very favourite colours!

このページはもう1ヶ月ほど前に出来上がっていて、
レイアウトの丸はパンチではなく、
地道に丸を書きーの、切りーの、貼りーのしました。
ご存知の方もおられると思いますが、
わたしはむらさき色がスキです。
最近（ここ１年くらい）になってからスキになりはじめました。
昔、ヤンキーだった。わけでもありませんし、
むらさき色の車に乗りたい。わけでもありませんし、
髪をむらさきに染めたい。とかも思いませんが（たまにそんな頭のおばちゃんおるわ）
みどり色が好きです。(むらさきはーーーーーーーーーーー！！）
そして最近熱をあげている「はぎれの会」ですが、
なんと参加人数が800人を超えました。（大うそつきか。）
sakoさん から頂いたはぎれを使ってまた作りました。（はぎれにまみれすぎ。）
会長を務める YUK*さんから刺激を頂いて「和」も取り入れました。
これも熱が上がりそうな分野です。（カテゴリー化した）

はぎれちゃう。
はぎれの会のせいで、
毎日はぎれの事で頭がいっぱいです。
夜布団に入っても、はぎれとじゃれ合っている自分を想像してしまいます。（やめよ）
（はぎれちゃう其の一）
わたしのところに届いたはぎれで１枚作りました。
はぎれを適当な大きさに切って、角を丸くしました。
角丸（読み方：かどまる）パンチが欲しい。
丸いボールみたいなのも、はぎれをパンチして作りました。
そして、マスキングテープを上から貼ってみました。（使いたかった）
もう一枚、はぎではぎれようかと思っています。

はぎれの会で熱くなる。
今日ブログを書いていたら、誤ってエンターボタンを押してしまったのか、
ブログの投稿を公開しました。っていう画面になって、
「わーーーー、まだまだ。」ってなって焦りました。
下書きはアホなことばっかり書いていたので。（投稿文書も同じーーー！）
「SB-はぎれの会」。
以前にもご紹介させて頂いたのですが、
今回「はぎれ交換会」というのを会長のＹＵＫ＊さんが企画してくださいました。
「はぎれを他人におしつける会」です。
そして
「はぎれを他人からおしつけられる会」です。
今日はぎれがわたしの元にも届き大興奮しています。
sakoさんありがとうございます。
はぎれを愛する者にとって見たこともないはぎれが届く。って、
非常に嬉しいです。しかもかわいいーー。かわいすぎる。
使うのがもったいないので、はぎれ箱に入れて保管します。と言ったら、
チャンマイさんに「保管するんかいっ！」と突っ込まれました。
はぎれの会は、「はぎれをおしつけられてそれを使う会」です。
その前に、kptpママさんから刺激を受け、「Project Life」というのもはじめました。
耳にしたことのある方も多いかと思いますし、
おしゃれに作られている方も大勢いらっしゃると思います。
がーーー、わたしのはなんちゃってプロジェクト・ライフなでの
写真を貼って、はぎれを活用する。ためのアルバム作りです。
専用プロテクターとか、全然ないです。

でもーーー、こうやって日々の消費しきれない大量の写真を何枚も一気に使え、
しかも、出番のなかったはぎれもどんどんどんどん主人公、あるいは端の方で脇役になれる。
もうこんな一石二鳥。
魅・力・的！すぎる。
しかもーー、日々の何でもないふつーの生活に感謝しながら
日記も書き込みながら作れる。
スクラップブッキングの本来の姿であろう、「子供の成長記録」（またはネコ）
をこんな風にして保管できることができるんなんて、
今まで作ってきたものとは違う形で新鮮さを感じています。
ということで、また前置きがいつも通り長くなってしまいましたが、
なんちゃって自己流プロジェクト・ライフはもし宜しければここです。
そして、はぎれの使い方こんなのも。
ずっと欲しかった円形のパンチを買いました。（悩んだわ。１０ドル(８５０円）もしたし。）
そして、はぎれをパンチしました。
もう、この作業が楽しくて、丸が丸が、もーめっちゃキレイ。
しかも、こんなにもハイスピードでこんなにも大量に。
手でいちいち丸書いて、はさみで切っていたらどんだけ作業時間かかるん？っていう。
そして、これを作りました。
はぎれ、そのまま大活躍！！
ブログの投稿を公開しました。っていう画面になって、
「わーーーー、まだまだ。」ってなって焦りました。
下書きはアホなことばっかり書いていたので。（投稿文書も同じーーー！）
「SB-はぎれの会」。
以前にもご紹介させて頂いたのですが、
今回「はぎれ交換会」というのを会長のＹＵＫ＊さんが企画してくださいました。
「はぎれを他人におしつける会」です。
そして
「はぎれを他人からおしつけられる会」です。
今日はぎれがわたしの元にも届き大興奮しています。
sakoさんありがとうございます。
はぎれを愛する者にとって見たこともないはぎれが届く。って、
非常に嬉しいです。しかもかわいいーー。かわいすぎる。
使うのがもったいないので、はぎれ箱に入れて保管します。と言ったら、
チャンマイさんに「保管するんかいっ！」と突っ込まれました。
はぎれの会は、「はぎれをおしつけられてそれを使う会」です。
その前に、kptpママさんから刺激を受け、「Project Life」というのもはじめました。
耳にしたことのある方も多いかと思いますし、
おしゃれに作られている方も大勢いらっしゃると思います。
がーーー、わたしのはなんちゃってプロジェクト・ライフなでの
写真を貼って、はぎれを活用する。ためのアルバム作りです。
専用プロテクターとか、全然ないです。

a little bit of my Art Journal..
Hello Hello.
How's your weekend been so far?
Mine is always full of actions with the kids just like any other day.
Today I would like to share a little bit of my Art Journal.
I haven't posted any of my Art Journal pages here on my blog.
But If you are intrested, I have more in Flickr.
So here is my very first post of it.
These are the shimmerz products I used and
here is the page.
I have prepared the background with gesso first and sprayed with

今日は初めてのアートジャーナルのページの投稿ですが、
shimmerzの宣伝です。
（その他のアートジャーナルは宜しければここにあります。）
ここ最近時間があると（ないけど、作る。なんとかして毎晩１０分でも）

ラブ度１度上昇したわ。（その時限定）
アートジャーナルは、なんか感情を思い切りぶつけれるというか、
悲しい気持ちも、怒りも、ストレスも、不安な気持ちも、焦りも。
(全てネガティブか。）
けど、嬉しい時や楽しい時って、
わーい、やったー。ルンルン。ってなるくらいで、
それをわざわざ机に座って、ひとり言を言いながら
その「明るい感情」をアートジャーナルに「託す」っていうことをしないでしょう？
（問いかけたーー）
後は、自分に何か言い聞かせる時とか、
がんばるぞー！って時とか。
反省とか、励ましとか。（なに、この人。）
まあ、何でもいいんです。（まとめる）
それから、お知らせです。
ソーシャル・ネットワーキング サービス [mixi(ミクシィ)]でのコミュ、
「SB-はぎれの会。」 楽しい動きが出てます。

I also used:
- Coloringz My Bleeding Heart,
- Vibez Sunset Strips,
- Coloringz Pink Stiletto
- Coloringz Lime in da coconut.
I just love these bright colours together. Such happy colours and they give me good energy.

TCR#97
FridaaaaaaaaaaaY.
Ah, can't believe it's here again.
I have so mcuh going on in my head at the moment. It's crazy.
But I have to say I kinda enjoy this "hecticness" as it somehow gives me the energy to get things going.
And as I tick a box on the “must do” list each time, I feel good.
Anyway it’s good to be busy. I have no complaints.
(なんか、どこに日本語版を書いていいのかわからないので、ここに入れます。)
あっという間に金曜日で、えーーーー、また？ってなりました。
また？って毎週回ってくるわ。
忙しいと頭の中が混乱して、これもしてあれもして。って限られた時間内に「することリスト」を詰め込んで、小走りで駆け回りながら、節々で子供たちの相手もして、
思うように進まずストレスが溜まることもありますが、
人生「忙しい」ことに感謝です。（まとめた）
Here is this weeks’ TCR palette.
今週のパレットです。
And this is what I made.
これを作りました。
I wanted to do something a little simpler (or should I say, less busy) for this palette as I thought that brown, blue, and red are all more less equally dominant colours and if I have use them all over the place which I tend to do often, It might not work the way I wanted.
I have to say I struggled with this one but I think it’s OK.
わたしにしては珍しくシンプル気味ですが、
パレットの色の組合わせが難しそうだったので
いつものように派手派手にしてしまうと怖いかな～と思い、
ちょっと控え目にしたつもりです。が、
本当は塗りたい気持ちを必死で抑えました。
The picture is my husband back in 2001 when we had just started going out.
Time has flown and here we are, 10 years older, Wrinkles have appeared (ah!), love handles got nicely settled in (ah! But there is more to love! No?) and some grey hair is arriving , etc….
But we are still good. I am lucky.
I mean HE is. :))

あれから10年ちょっと経ち、お互いしわも増え、体格もたくましくなり、白髪もちらほら。
こうやって見るとほんと時間の経つのは早いです。
ちなみに、写真は昔の元彼です。（まさかのーーーーー！！）
余談ですが、
知り合った当時、お互いのクレジットカードの4桁の暗証番号が偶然にも「同じ」だということを発見し、
「わーーー！！これは運命じゃ。運命じゃ。」
と思いました。
が、
実際そうだったのかどうかは・・・

Arrrrrgh!
Hello!
I hope your weekend has been a good one.
Yesterday I spent literally all day making 2 birthday cakes for my 5 year old son, Charlie and soon to be 3 year old daughter, Chelsea.
They hang around in the kitchen, licking the beater covered with chocolate cream, “tasting” a little bit of cake and commenting on the cakes, “hmmm ..Mama, it tastes good but it doesn’t look good.”
Thanks, son.
I love making cakes. I am not an expert but I simply enjoy making “things” as you might’ve noticed?

チカと菊の合同誕生日会をしました。
疲れたー。しかも、英語と日本語を交互に書く試みです。（なんか、いろいろいらんことばっかり書いてしまいそうで怖い。）
昨日はケーキを２個作りました。作るのは好きですが、時間がかかるわ。
Today we had a family gathering, celebrating their birthdays.
As Charlie wanted to be a pirate (being a typical 5 year old), we had a sort of pirate themed party.
and Chelsea? she was happy to be a pirate, too. ..
(oh no, I never said "Pirates are so much cooler than a princess. Never tried to convince her to be a pirate :P )
It was a good day.
チカが海賊になりたいということだったので、「プリンセスになりたい」という娘を無視して（最低な母親か。）誕生日会のテーマは海賊です。
Here are the pirates! Arrghhhhh
I made their pirate's costumes myself.
I told you I love making things!
コスチュームは手作りです。
and here are the cakes.
A pirate ship cake for Charlie of course.
チカの海賊船ケーキ。(旗の部分にかなり力を入れました。）そこーー！
and "PINK" pony cake for Chelsea, of course!
ほんで、ケーキは菊の言いなりになりました。ピンクの馬。
I don't have my side of the family over here so when everyone gets together, it's very special.
みんなでランチを食べました。
This year's very first family photo using the self timer. (the camera is on top of the car boot)
it's not a great one but the "effort" is what counts, right?
車のトランクの上にカメラを置いて今年初の家族写真です。
写真の質よりも、写真を撮ろうとするこの努力が大切です。

Hello!
It's Fffffriday!! Time really flew this week. ( do I say that every week?)
Here is this week's TCR palette.
It’s a gorgeous combination of colours. Very feminine and soft. I don’t choose these sort of colours myself often so when there is an opportunity, I grab it.
this is what I made.
And some close ups.
The background was made with lots of small pieces of scraps.
I have to admit that I am a little obsessed about taking photos of my kids’ feet.
Not my husbands’ or mine. Just the kids:)
They are so tiny and soft.
I wish they would stay like that forever so that I could keep admiring them and taking photos, of course!

PMB #16 "beauty"

Today I'd like to share an LO which I made for PMB (Pages of My Book).
PMB is a Japanese scrapbooking challenge site like many other challenge sites that you see worldwide.
Having said that, PMB has very talented DT members, which makes me very proud and honoured to be part of this team.
Every month we invite a very well known scrapbooker/artist as a guest designer.
The winner will be hand-picked from the guest designer and a gorgeous pack of RAK will be sent!
Here is this month’s image and the key word is “beauty”.
