It's Friday and finally my husband is back from overseas!
It's been a tough 3 weeks but I have survived.
Now honey, fix the kitchen light, will you?

OK.
Here is this week's TCR palette.

I used this Meg's Garden design paper.

and this is what I made.

I used the picture of my daughter's room which is totally painted in PINK.
She is madly in love with anything pink, pink clothes, pink toys, pink undies, pink shoes, pink cup... you name it.
She loves PINK.... and she is not even 3 yet.
 (do women really know what they want at such young age?)

Her bedroom walls were actually painted a couple of months ago by my handy husband.
Even though I am not much of "a pink person", I think he did a great job!
lavender colour would've been my preference but :P

I have always been wanting to be creative, wanting to try new and different things.
I get less motivated and pleasure if I stay in my comfort zone too long, doing something that I'm used to or knowing exactly what to do.
And I find it boring. I have to do something different simply just to satisfy and refresh myself.

I recently took up Art Journaling which I had been wanting to do for the last few years.
I have to say that I'm truly loving it. I love the fact that I can express my feelings in any way I want. There are absolutely no rules or mistakes. (no colours or sketches to be used) I find it very therapeutic.

I might not like the end result of what I’ve done but it really doesn’t matter.
Noone really likes what I create, but it doesn’t really matter.

Art Journaling helps me to re-set my mind. It's my anger management, stress relief solution, mind therapy, energy booster and mediation place. The whole me can be in it. (hang on, just squeezing in my love handles..:))

I am so glad that I finally decided to give Art Journaling a go, only wishing I had started much earlier..

Once you step out of your comfort zone and try something new that you have been wanting to do for a while or you never thought you would, it will definitely give you a wider vision of not only Art itself but also life.
It will make you feel good if not better.

Sorry I dribbled a bit here but I just wanted to share my thoughts and if I could encourage one person to go out there and try something new, it would make my day.

カラールームからです。
今週のパレットはこんなにもエレガント！なのにもかかわらず、
ペイントだらけのレイアウトで申し訳ないです。
オットが以前ペンキで塗った菊のピンクな部屋の写真です。

スポンサー Meg's Gardenの美しいペーパーを使っているのですが、
こんな風にぺーパーを使ってしまったら、
気を悪くされるかしら。。。と思いながら気づいたら
Gessoを上から塗っていました。(最悪か。）

みなさんこのエレガントカラーでゴージャスで素敵な作品を作られています。

そして靴の集いのレイアウトも同じパレットで作りました。
これも、気の向くままに計画もなーんもなしで塗ったり、貼ったり、付けたり、剥がしたり。

ほんまはなんも考えてなさそうだけども、
実際、創造力と想像力のバランスを常に意識しながら「楽しむこと」を一番優先に..
これからもいろんなことに挑戦したいと思います。

快適ゾーンの枠外にいったん足を踏み出すとまた違った世界が見えて新しい発見もできると思うのです（ＳＢ以外でもなんでも）
なんでも当たって砕けろ。の精神をこれからも持ち続けていきたいと思うのです。
なにかしたい、なにか新しいことしたい。と思っていてもなかなか出来なかったり、
勇気がなかったり、快適ゾーンが心地よすぎて外に出れなかったり。
（冬こたつから出れん。っていうのが類似状況）

という2012年の抱負です。
「何事もとりあえずやってみる。」
やってダメならプラスマイナス・ゼロ。
やって少しでも何かしらの「変化」があればプラス。

マイナスになることは絶対ないと思うのです。
「やってみる」ことで次へのステップにも繋がるかもしれないし、
もっと物事に対して前向きになれたり、意欲的になれたり。
落ち込むこともあるとは思うけど。
泣きべそかいて鼻水垂らすこともあるとは思うけど。

何事も挑戦です。
今年もよろしくお願いいたします。（新年のあいさとだったーー）
