TCR#93 with Shimmerz!!

Hellooooo, everyone.
Thank you for popping by. I know I don't very oftern "do" my blog in English but one of this year's resolutions is "DO" English.

So Let's see how I go with this one and forget about "Lose 5 pounds" ha!

Here is this week's TCR palette.

I was one of the very fortunate ones to be sent out Meg's garden design products.

And this is what I made with their beautiful papers.

The picture is my mum and her 3 grandchildren.
As my little journal says, she is the best mum and grandma in the whole world.
I love her very much and she is the one who I look up to most.

and here are some close-ups.

Guess what?
Today I will be doing a "tutorial-ish" post. ( you didn't see it coming? Neither did I!!)
My LOs are usually very much unplaned. I play by ear...

Anyway, here is how I created the background.
Some people might have a heart attack or be totally horrified.
So be warned....

I tore 3 different papers , 2 patterned papers from Meg's garden design and one which I painted with several different pinks, randomly into pieces.

(please note that I don't mean to mistreat the papers by tearing them. This is just the way I do it. I'd be doing the same thing with my own designed papers if I had any..)

Then I stuck them onto another paper, applied some gesso all over it and some stamps afterwards.

Here is how it looks when they are all stuck together nicely.

(my husband said, I thought Quilters were mad because they cut a big piece of fabric into many small pieces to make a big piece AGAIN but you do that with papers, too??? What's with you? )

Let's forget about him.

with some stamps. (I added more stamps and rub-ons later on, too)

Those pink flowers with green leaves on my LO, I fussy cut them from a patterned paper(and the rest of the paper was of course torn by my hands to be blended in the background. No waste!! )

I used some of my favourite tools, water-based pastels and of course shimmerz products to make the cut-out flowers look prettier by adding some colours.

They definately look shiny and more "alive", don't they?
I have to admit that I am in LOVE with shimmerz products.

For the cut -out branches and leaves, I used shimmerz coffee colour, too.

I also used the Apricot shimmerz to colour some white flowers.
They turned out very pretty with a shinny look.

Products used:

Shimmerz Apricot
Shimmerz Coffee
Pearlz Peas B mine
Blingz Gold Glimmer

Some people might think this is all too much, too timid, time consuming and needing too much patience but I enjoy putting that extra time and effort to make something a little more special than it already is.
And Shimmerz products certainly take a big part of that.

If you want to know what Shimmerz has to offer or haven't heard of them, head over to their blog and online shop .
You will be in for a big treat I guarantee!

Thank you for visiting and hopefully I will be doing more of the  "International language" posts in the future.

Naomi xx

Naomi - this is absolutely BRILLIANT! Your work is so outstanding and magnificent that it really is a shame you're blogging only in Japanese. There is a HUGE audience out there just waiting for you to do it in English too. You're so deserving to make yourself known and believe me, it will take no time at all for word to spread in blogland or for producers to get an eye on you! especially if you start leaving love in other places too. Thank you so much for sharing your creative process. Will absolutely be stalking for more! Take care, much love E

Kptp
